Super Legends of Heroes Advance Evolution DS

Im a huge fan of good gaming subtitles, as in the few words that comes after the gaming title. For example: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Now I dunno if its really called a subtitle as it is part of an official game title but sometimes such subtitles sets the game apart from other games in the same series, even if its just a sequel or just little enhancements added to the game (like the game Bloody Roar 3 originally made for the PS2 was enhancely ported to the GameCube as Bloody Roar: Primal Fury.

Here are some of my favourites:

Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies

Banjo
Tooie
Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Dragon Ball Z Sparking! METEOR
Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metroid Prime 2: (Dark) Echoes

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams

Panzer Dragon
Orta
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

Tales of (Innocence, Vesperia, Symphonia, Rebirth, the Tempest)

Xenosaga
(Der Wille zur Macht, Jenseits von Gut und Bös, and; Also sprach Zarathustra)

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner

The sad thing is, a lot of games just use the subtitles Heroes, Adventure, Legend/s and Chronicles or after the console... lazy ppl

Advanced Guardian Heroes

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Mario Kart DS/Wii

Medal of Honor: Heroes

Sonic Adventure/Heroes

Soulcalibur Legends

Tomb Raider: Legend

at least someone like Konami can take the Portable from PSP and put it into Metal Gear Solid to make it sometime nice and cool and not boring:
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

Regarding DS games, at least some companies made it cool like:
Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Contra: Dual Spirits
Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy
Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers
Lunar: Dragon Song
Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence
Tenchu: Dark Secret

Thats creative thinking for some of the DS subtitles there, really really like Dust Strikers!

I think the most boring game title in a series (besides sport games) has to be the Bomberman. It uses Land, Story, Super and just plain Bomberman just too damn much. At least it did alright with Act:Zero but that was a shit game anyway!

The best subtitle goes to:
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect

I just can't forget this beautiful subtitle of a game I've never played (cause EA Australia refused to release a GameCube version). Too bad it came out after I got my Year 12 Jacket or this would've been on it instead of Hitokiri Battousai (from Rurouni Kenshin). At least my brother using it though, Future Perfect FTW!

of course all these dates can be changed at any time because publishers love to screw us Australian Nintendo gamers around.

Ninty Rant 2

In a semi-total backflip to me previous blog entry over at Space for Hiroes, "harassment" by Nintendo Australia towards its loyal customers has prompted me to rant about them here. A lot of the usual stuff every Nintendo fanboy knows already about the crappiness of Nintendo Australia but since I've experienced first hand, I'll blog about my experiences.

My brother's DS lite's touch screen was a little faulty and we have always been careful with it, even buying official Nintendo screen protectors. The DS lite was still under warranty so I took it to Nintendo Australia headquarters in Scoresby. The Customer Service place was.... wow.... small, empty and uninviting. Showed the help desk clerk what was up and he took it away and told me to wait for a call.
I think it was four days later, they called me saying that it was my fault "something" got stuck inside the touch panel. Now they wouldn't elaborate so what can I do? So I told them I was using Official Nintendo screen protectors and the lady on the phone says we don't endorse using screen protectors and have never heard of Official Nintendo ones... omg -.- Shows you how crap Nintendo Australia are. I even got the packaging to prove it! Has that useless Official Nintendo Seal of Quality on it as well. Was gonna show them the packaging but I forgot to bring it as I was in a hurry. I had slept-in and the place shuts are 2.30pm.... talk about lazy company, shutting so early!
Well when I paid my $55, I got home and to my surprise, my touch screen is working!!! yeah! Obviously they replaced it but...... it has two dead pixels! Not happy! I'm gonna ring them tomorrow and get this sorted, I don't wanna wait another two weeks for them to replace the screen again, I'm gonna ask them to give me a brand new one! For my troubles and of course, I'm greedy :p

Now to delays. I dunno why Nintendo insist on making us fans wait months upon months for a release or even a release date given. Games such as Mario Kart Wii, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Harvest Moon: Magical Melody have all been rated by the OFLC, some even since August 2007! Meaning they are ready to be released. I remember last year Super Paper Mario was rated in May 2007 but released in September 2007... what gives man? Nintendo Australia doesn't want us to import and even suing people and game shops importing and for selling their stock for under Aussie RRP... jerks.

Some games rated but not released:

Harvest Moon: Magical Melody -
Rated:
30 August 2007 | Release Date: Unknown
Battalion Wars II -
Rated:
4 September 2007 | Release Date: 20 March 2008
Chibi Robo: Park Patrol -
Rated: 23 September 2007 | Release Date: 20 March 2008
Advance Wars: Dark Conflict -
Rated:
23 December 2007 | Release Date: Unknown
Mario Kart Wii -
Rated:
11 December 2007 | Release Date: Unknown
Professor Layton and the Curious Village -
Rated:
19 December 2007 | Release Date: Unknown
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn -
Rated:
23 December 2007 | Release Date: 10 April 2008
Naruto: Ninja Council Revolutio
n -
Rated:
16 January 2008 | Release Date: Unknown
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney -
Rated: 29 January 2008 | Release Date: Unknown
Wii Fit -
Rated:
1 February 2008 | Release Date: Unknown

Okay so now some of you are saying that some are just finished versions and not GOLD yet. But a lot of these are rated before an American release so that means all the Nintendo HQs have copies of working versions. Why they can't encode them for PAL and NTSC and then mass produce... its crazy. If you look at Microsoft and Sony first parties, games are released near simultaneously. If the OFLC can review non-localised games, why can't the gaming public get the same treatment!? I am SOOOOOOOOO sure that the OFLC rated the Japanese build of Mario Kart Wii as its not released in any region yet (Japan gets it first on the 10th of April 2008). Even so, Nintendo should provide release dates for these games as so many are unknown at this time.

Well in conclusion, Nintendo America and Japan are cool! Nintendo Australia is old and useless. Onwards with the pirating! Cause have recently started and you should too! Teach Nintendo Australia a belting and support the other Nintendos... or not :p

Its like Nintendo Australia doesn't even recognise the GameCube anymore. Sure the Wii has GameCube ports and can play GameCube games but Nintendo Australia just aren't selling the accessories and games anymore, jerks aren't they? Also I got the Wii and NDS taking up my funds -.-

ジャッキー・チェンの映画

Everyone loves Jackie Chan (besides one person I know) and he has made heaps of brilliant movies that are the at the pinnacle of Hong Kong films.

So here are my top ten favourite Jackie Chan films ever!
  1. Police Story
  2. Project A: Part II
  3. Twin Dragons
  4. Armour of God
  5. Project A
  6. Drunken Master II
  7. Mr. Canton and Lady Rose
  8. City Hunter
  9. Rob-B-Hood
  10. Shanghai Knights
Waha, that took a long time to decide when there are so many more and how to place the positions. Hope all you guys have watched these fantastic movies before cause they're really worth it. Most of these you can buy here in Australia at local department stores, JB Hi-Fi, EzyDVD etc. Also look into the awesome Police Story 3: Supercop, part filmed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!!!! Thunderbolt is another good one with Jackie Chan as a race car driver, Armour of God II: Operation Condor and Drunken Master, his first major box office hit!

There are only two Jackie Chan movies I don't like watching and they are his first two American made movies, The Protector and Battle Creek Brawl. Waste of time I reckon.

Well look out for his future movies like The Forbidden Kingdom where it has Jackie Chan fighting Jet Li! Thats gonna be awesome! And his Hong Kong made: Armour of God III: Chinese Zodiac!

My mate Renzokuken made up his own list to counter my own cause he really disagreed with most of my list entries, what a jerk.
Here it goes:
  1. Police Story
  2. Armour of God
  3. Project A: Part II
  4. Rumble in the Bronx
  5. Drunken Master II
  6. Police Story 2
  7. Project A
  8. Gorgeous
  9. Rush Hour
  10. Police Story 4: First Strike
What you guys think? I'm really disappointed that Rumble in the Bronx got that high, sooooooooo shouldn't be. The dubs wrecked it sooooooooo bad. The rest are okay. I didn't like Police Story 2 as much as I should though, Police Story 3: Supercop was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than that and Police Story 4: First Strike. The rest are cool, I would've picked them as well if I could, maybe except for Rush Hour, I really preferred Around the World in 80 Days and the Shanghai series over the Rush Hours.
